TL;DR: The Wins at a Glance

  • The problem: A critical market expansion was blocked by lack of engineering resources and filling the positions the traditional way could have taken 3+ months.
  • The solution: We bypassed the public market, sending the executive team 5 pre-vetted, senior candidates in 72 hours.
  • The result: The VP of Engineering assembled a 3-person squad in record time. The first hire started in 7 days, the second in 8 days. The new market expansion is no longer blocked by resource issues.

About The Client

"PlexaLab" is a fast-growing, Series B B2B SaaS company based in London, with roughly 110 employees. Their platform helps enterprise companies manage complex logistics and supply chains. After a successful funding round, they were under pressure to expand their market presence and drive new revenue.

The Challenge

PlexaLab’s primary goal was market expansion - they had a time-sensitive opportunity to launch their platform in a new European country and this required significant changes to their product: new features, multi-language support and the capacity to handle new and complex client SOWs.

Their internal recruitment process for senior engineers was averaging 3 months per hire and this was something they simply didn’t have time for.

They needed to augment their team with experts, and they needed them ASAP.

Our Solution

Sarah, PlexaLab's VP of Engineering, contacted HighCircl with a clear, urgent request: they needed a small squad with two Fullstack and one Backend dev, who would integrate with their internal team and start shipping code right away.

HighCircl's model was built for this exact scenario.

  1. No recruitment: We bypassed the public job market entirely. Our team looked into our internal network of pre-vetted engineers, filtering for the right tech stack and, most importantly, experience in fast-paced, product-driven environments.
  2. The perfect shortlist: In just 72 hours, we presented Sarah with a shortlist of 5 qualified and available candidates.
  3. Alignment meetings: Sarah's team met with 4 of the 5 candidates. As she later said, "These weren't interviews; they were alignment meetings. Since every candidate was technically proven, we just had to see who was the best fit for the mission. It was pretty efficient!"

The Result

The client’s internal process went from months to a single week. They hired a 3-person squad based on our recommendations:

  • Hire 1: A Senior Fullstack Engineer from Spain, started just 7 days after our initial call.
  • Hire 2: A Senior Backend Engineer from Slovenia, started the very next day.
  • Hire 3: A Senior Fullstack Engineer from Hungary, accepted the offer on day 9 and joined the following week to complete the squad.

Their new team integrated directly with the existing, internal teams and structure. Within two weeks, they were "ploughing through the JIRA tickets" for the market expansion.

The bottleneck was cleared: the expansion was no longer an "engineering issue," unblocking the product and customer success teams to focus on winning new clients.

When stakes are high, a trusted partnership with a specialized talent vendor is critical. PlexaLab didn't just "hire engineers"; they gained an immediate, strategic advantage that unblocked their revenue goals.
